Memory is a powerful thing. It teaches us empathy, love, and care. It forces us to reckon with the pain and mistakes of the past. When considering memory and abolition, we must examine who and what gets remembered, what gets preserved. History can be fickle, not set in stone. Rather, created by the entities and institutions in power, shaping it to tell a story that serves them. It can be rewritten upon the rise of a new power, an accepted truth reworked for that administration which effectively erases decades of known canon. In this edition we hope to reclaim memory and use it to shed light on the stories that matter to us. Whether it is the memory of a loved one, an excavation of something once hidden, or a revelation long overdue, share with us your memories in hopes that they will never again be forgotten.
