Editor-in-Chief | Shu Lan Schaut is a senior studying neurobiology and English literature. Her favorite flowers are peonies, and her favorite food truck in Madison is Caracas Arepas. Her favorite movie and cereal is Everything Everywhere All At Once and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, respectively.

Editor-in-Chief | Jonathan Tostrud is a senior studying legal studies, philosophy, economics, and public policy. His favorite sci-fi film is Tenet (2020). His favorite outdoor locations in Madison are Lake Wingra and the Arboretum.

Education Director | Quinn Henneger is a senior studying history. Their summer read is The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. They love earth tones, brownies, and listening to music.

Outreach Coordinator | Hannah Herbst is a senior studying wildlife ecology and zoology. She hopes to read East of Eden by John Steinback sometime soon and is extremely pro-oxford comma. Her favorite starter Pokemon is Snivy or Cyndaquil.

Production Director | Max Borgerding is a sophomore studying political science. His favorite books are Galápagos by Kurt Vonnegut and Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison. Max is currently reading The Deficit Myth by Stephanie Kelton and cooking a lot.

Creative Director | Kiki Marckel is a sophomore studying graphic design. Kiki recently read My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. She enjoys thrifting, going for walks, photography and spending time with her family & cats.

Graphic Designer | Sophia is a senior studying marketing, with certificates in graphic design, environmental studies, and Spanish. She’s reading The Midnight Library and listening to Balu Brigada. She may rearrange her room in the middle of the night tonight, if she’s not watching Sex and the City.

Graphics & Layout | Rissa Nelson is a junior studying english and graphic design. Her hobbies include reading, writing and painting, although you will probably find her watching the Twilight movies and/or napping at 4pm.

Social Media Manager | Mar Mckenna is a junior studying Philosophy and American Indian and indigenous studies. Mar snacks on apples and peanut butter and listens to “Killing in the Name Of” by Rage Against the Machine. They love halloween and, quite fittingly, ravens.

Art Editor l Francesca Matthews is a junior studying Psychology and Legal Studies. She’s currently watching The Society and can be found doing a number of activities, including painting, crocheting, and playing guitar or pickleball. Her favorite band is The Marías.

Fiction Editor l David is a freshman studying History and Philosophy. His favorite books are Life of Pi by Yann Martel and Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus. Some songs he likes are The Pressure is on Me by Muchi and Lover, You Should’ve Come Over by Jeff Buckley. He also likes bears, basketball, and soccer.

Poetry Editor l Omalley Thompson is a sophomore studying English. Her favorite books are The Bell Jar and The Marrow Thieves, and her favorite song is Lady Grinning Soul by David Bowie. Some hobbies of hers include pottery, music walks, thrifting and collaging.
